*In the Disney Infinity series, "play set" figures (also referred to as "mission crystals") unlock exclusive gameplay modes. Their stories and worlds are based on various Disney-owned franchises. 

Play sets ONLY provide levels for whichever version of Disney Infinity it was released for. This play set unlocks levels for "Disney Infinity" (often referred to by the fan-given name "Disney Infinity 1.0"), but NOT Disney Infinity 2.0 OR Disney Infinity 3.0.

This play set unlocks 3 separate game modes. One campaign takes place in Metroville from "The Incredibles." Players can explore an open world, defeat villains, escort prisoners and civilians, rebuild and unlock new buildings in Metroville, and complete various missions.

Another campaign takes place at sea in the world of "Pirates of the Caribbean." Players go on a seafaring quest on a customizable pirate ship to find the five pieces of the "Kraken's Bane." There are many side missions to complete along the way.

Another campaign takes place at Monsters University from the movie of the same name. The main objective of this campaign is to obtain as many "Fear Tokens" as possible. Players can explore an open world, play pranks on students, play paintball, and complete various missions. 

Only certain characters are playable in each play set. The figures compatible with the Incredibles campaign are:

  • Dash
  • Mr. Incredible 
  • Mrs. Incredible
  • Syndrome
  • Violet

The figures compatible with the Pirates of the Carribean campaign are:

  • Barbossa
  • Captain Jack Sparrow (his "crystal series" color variant is also compatible)
  • Davy Jones

The figures compatible with the Monsters University campaign are:

  • Mike Wazowski
  • Randy (Randall)
  • Sulley (his "crystal series" color variant is also copmpatible)

These are the ONLY usable characters in this play set. Without one of the above figures, this play set's levels are completely unplayable.
